For Rhody...
... I thought you might appreciate this for reasons other than it having anything to do with Penny Arcade... Long live Eric St. John! Also, in this comic Robert(the one in the black T-shirt) even has a huge shit-eating grin like me. Current Mood: aggravated | | Friday, April 18th, 2008 | | 9:24 am |

Love this song Foundations, by Kate Nash. I heard it on Late Night with Conan O'Brien... Thursday night, every thing's fine, except you've got that look in your eye when I'm tellin' a story and you find it boring, you're thinking of something to say. You'll go along with it then drop it and humiliate me in front of our friends.
Then I'll use that voice that you find annoyin' and say something like "yeah, intelligent input, darlin', why don't you just have another beer then?"
Then you'll call me a bitch and everyone we're with will be embarrassed, and I wont give a shit.
My finger tips are holding onto the cracks in our foundation, and I know that I should let go, but I can't. And every time we fight I know it's not right, every time that you're upset and I smile. I know I should forget, but I can't.
You said I must eat so many lemons 'cause i am so bitter. I said "I'd rather be with your friends mate 'cause they are much fitter."
Yes, it was childish and you got aggressive, and I must admit that I was a bit scared, but it gives me thrills to wind you up.
My finger tips are holding on to the cracks in our foundation, and I know that I should let go, but I can't. And every time we fight I know it's not right, every time that you're upset and I smile. I know I should forget, but I can't.
Your face is pasty 'cause you've gone and got so wasted, what a surprise. Don't want to look at your face 'cause it's makin' me sick. You've gone and got sick on my trainers, I only got these yesterday. Oh, my gosh, I cannot be bothered with this.
Well, I'll leave you there 'till the mornin', and I purposely wont turn the heating on and dear God, I hope I'm not stuck with this one.

Oh I almost forgot...
Eve and I are doing this "Walk for Dogs" thing for the Animal Humane Society. We'll be walking the dogs around for all of the people kind enough to donate a few spare bucks to the cause! We adopted two amazing dogs out of the shelter/rescue system, and this is the least we can do to help keep it going so that other great dogs can find totally cool homes to live in like ours! ----- Subject: Walk for Animals 2008! I recently accepted the challenge to participate and raise funds for the Animal Humane Society's Walk for Animals on Saturday, May 3. This event is the largest animal walk in the country and helps support the programs at five Twin Cities area animal shelters. I am asking for your help to support my fundraising efforts and a cause that is close to my heart. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in helping to ensure the health and welfare of more than 36,000 animals annually. The pets in our lives give us a lot. Help me help to give back. You can make your donation online by simply clicking the link at the bottom of this message. Thank you! http://events.animalhumanesociety.org/site/TR/Walk/General?px=1120641&pg=personal&fr_id=1060&s_tafId=5171 | | 2:05 pm |
I am enamored...
...with the soundtrack to "Across the Universe". It's crazy, I wasn't ever much of a Beatles fan either. I mean, I liked the Beatles(who doesn't? I'll call you a communist!) but I wouldn't say that I ever went out of my way to listen to their songs. I finally saw the movie over the weekend and loved it. I can't believe I never bothered with it in theaters... Q_Q | | Tuesday, February 12th, 2008 | | 11:04 am |

MASS EFFECT
Wow. Thats about all I can say about this game. It's fucking amazing and makes me sad that Bioware ditched the KOTOR license, because frankly KOTOR2 was such a half-assed unfinished pile of horseshit and Mass Effect is the real deal as far as RPGs go. From anyone who has played through it, one thing that I need to know is: can you really make your party shoot/kill Wrex? I used my supercharisma to calm him down, but that option to have the Gunnery Chief whatshername take him out with a sniper rifle really made me wonder... | | Monday, January 14th, 2008 | | 10:52 pm |

It's got what plants crave. http://www.brawndo.com/If you do not know WHY this is totally hilarious, then you need to go out and obtain a copy of the movie "Idiocracy" RIGHT FUCKING NOW. Stop reading. Go. I know you're still reading this, which means you're not out watching that movie. This is a disappointment. Here's a wonderful bit of information regarding THE THIRST MUTILATOR: Lemon Lime, 200mg caffeine, Taurine, Inositol, Guarana, Electrolytes – NO high fructose corn syrup, Carbonated, Bright Green, 16oz.cans, 200 MG Caffiene plus Potassium, Vitamins B6, B12 and C. Get what plants crave... Brawndo. Make your hair bigger. Crush more skulls. Live like a Viking. This case weighs 29 pounds. It's heavy. Like logs. | | Monday, December 10th, 2007 | | 3:06 pm |

Resurrection!
Well, after 4 nudges from Fourthwand reminding me that I should post here, here I am. I am currently stuffed silly on Fogo de Chao. Eve took me there last night and I honestly believe that I will be skipping lunch today... Ohhh dear... For those of you not in the know, Fogo de Chao opened in Minneapolis about a month or two back and is a Brazilian steak house(there is a Brazilian word for it that I cannot remember nor pronounce). More or less you sit down with a small paddle which has both a GREEN and RED side. When you put the GREEN side up on your table, people bring you meat. The waiters hustle around the room with giant metal skewers with one of 15 different cuts of beef, pork, lamb, or chicken on them, all of which are prepared differently and all of which are utterly fantastic. They also have one of the best salad bars in the Twin Cities and boast the Caipirihna as a cocktail of choice(P.S. I'm sure I spelled that one incorrectly as well). I am starting to delve into Warhammer Fantasy Battles, having sold off what I will not use of my old Dark Elf army and using the remnants to make a Cult of Slaanesh list. Lately I am just painting up lots of Chaos Warriors and Marauders of Slaanesh. Perhaps someday Eve and I will purchase that Digital SLR camera that we always talk about buying so that I can put some photos up. I suppose it is my mounting desire to play Warhammer Online that has me switching from sci-fi to fantasy for my tabletop strategy game of choice... I will also have begun reading a certain pre-release book by a certain author who is an old friend of mine. The book itself will not be out until July apparently but I have managed to wrangle a copy for myself. The only hint: an old WoW gaming friend of mine who happens to also like this series recently had one of the streets in his companies new corporate headquarters named "Lamora Lane". *BIG WINK HERE* Perhaps I'll post some thoughts about it once I've finished reading it(Eve blew through it in something crazy like 4 days, so it MUST be excellent). Planning my roadtrip down to Games Day Chicago on July 27th/28th, mostly because I think Mythic will be handing out beta invitations to folks who visit their booth on the 28th(they've announced such activities for the Baltimore Games Day, and they apparently have begun inviting people who visited Atlanta two months ago). We spent about 10 days in Mexico for Luke and Catherine's wedding. Was a fantastic trip! :D | | Wednesday, March 28th, 2007 | | 4:46 pm |
Tearing kitchen apart = fun!
As the subject line implies, we tore our kitchen apart on Sunday. I mean completely demolished. Pulled out all of the cabinets, pulled the flooring up, the whole SHE BANG. Put down some nice tile on Monday, and tonight we will be painting the walls and ceiling. Hopefully tomorrow we'll be grouting said tile, and then sealing it on Friday. We get to take Saturday off since it is TJ and Erica Tava's wedding, and then hopefully on Sunday we'll start installing the new cabinets!!! |
